Week 4 – Characters (Ice Sculptures)

While, my parents and I were walking at a local park, I happened to stop by one of the “waterfalls” and saw some ice formations, i took two of them because of the designs, and decided to take some pictures. I’m not exactly sure what the first one looks like, perhaps a bear of some sort, it really depends on the angle. The second one looks something like a whale or narwhal. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

Cool photos. The first one reminds me of a cat sitting with it’s side toward the camera and head turned to the far side as though the kitty is cleaning a spot on its fir. The second could be a dolphin or a slug, depends on ones whim.

beautiful photos, your focus is gorgeous and the colours subtle they invite you in, I wonder what these two would have looked like with a bit of warmth, transformed into what?

I love ice formations…it is amazing how the water freezes to these shapes…really nice images!

  9. Bobbie says:

The second, in particular, looks like one of those very expensive Steuben glass pieces. and you got to experience and capture the ephemeral version for free.
